Instructor, Adult Basic Education
Sharon received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University in 1997. She began her career as a case manager but within six months, was offered a teaching position in adult education. Sharon has remained in adult education and came to work for Literacy Volunteers in 2018.
“It’s very gratifying to help adults return to learning when their education was disrupted or put on hold, but nothing can compare to the reward of seeing those same adult students begin to set an example for their school-age children and foster the importance of continuing their education uninterrupted.”
