Arcelia has a Master’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Arizona State University. She taught Spanish at ASU in addition to working as a Preschool Teacher. Arcelia came to Literacy Volunteers in 1995, first working as an Adult Educator and additionally serving as a Family Literacy Coordinator. In 2007, she became a Workplace Coordinator while continuing to work as an instructor. Arcelia served as our Acting Director from 2014 to 2016. Her current position is as a Learning Center Supervisor, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Lead Instructor, and Workplace Coordinator.
