Submit a SNAP CAN Intake Application

Literacy Phoenix offers additional support to students currently receiving Nutritional Assistance (formerly known as food stamps) thanks to a partnership with the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) SNAP CAN (Career Advancement Network) program. If you need support to overcome barriers to employment and you enrolled at Literacy Phoenix to improve your employability skills, you may qualify to receive support towards your employment and career goals.

Literacy Phoenix offers the SNAP CAN program to students currently enrolled in any of our two programs:

  • Adult Basic & Secondary Education (ABE/ASE) to up your basic skills and prepare to pass your GED test and obtain your Arizona High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma.
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Literacy Phoenix Adult Education students actively participating for at least 12 hours a month, receiving SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), referred by the DES, and not receiving TANF could qualify for the SNAP CAN program.

If you are not an Adult Education student with Literacy Phoenix yet, learn more about our programs at literacyphoenix/students.

If you are an active Literacy Phoenix student receiving SNAP and you are interested in participating in the SNAP CAN program, please submit your Intake application to start with the SNAP CAN enrollment process. We may contact you for additional information.
