The Data and Assessment Specialist provides customer service and administrative support to adult learners by assisting with program enrollment, responding to inquiries, maintaining accurate records in computer systems, and supporting the administration of assessments.
Position Overview
We are seeking an individual who enjoys helping others and working with computers. In this role, you will support adult learners by assisting with program registration, answering questions, maintaining accurate information in computer systems, and helping to proctor assessments. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are reliable, enjoy working with people, and are comfortable providing customer service in person and by phone, as well as sitting and performing computer-based tasks.
Responsibilities
- Enter and update student information (demographics, attendance, assessment results, and other program-related data) in multiple computer systems with accuracy, and maintain organized records
- Engage with prospective and current participants to share program information, assist with registration, provide details about services, and schedule student appointments
- Keep student files organized and up to date with all required documents and materials
- Follow up with students by phone, email, and text to support ongoing participation, and record all interactions accurately
- Proctor student assessments in-person and/or remotely as needed, ensuring proper testing procedures are followed
- Work closely with instructors and other staff under the guidance of the Process Manager to ensure quality student service and adherence to procedures
- Attend training and professional development sessions provided by the organization
- Travel between two Phoenix-area locations as needed
- Assist with other administrative and program tasks as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to obtain a fingerprint clearance
- Basic computer skills (typing, data entry, navigating multiple systems)
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and follow established procedures
